The method

How VetDietPro keeps every ration in balance

Method developed and validated by Francesco Zattoni, veterinarian (DVM) and founder of VetDietPro, together with veterinary nutritionists.

Behind VetDietPro is the everyday work of people who formulate clinical diets, day after day, on real patients. The software starts from the patient itself: from weight, body condition (BCS), activity level and physiological state it estimates the daily energy requirement (MER) for dogs and cats. On that basis you build the ration, home-cooked or BARF, choosing the ingredients case by case. As you work, the software automatically compares the supply of energy, protein, minerals and vitamins against FEDIAF nutritional standards, the same ones veterinary nutritionists use in clinical practice. The nutrient traffic light reads the result at once: green where coverage is adequate, amber and red where something is missing or in excess. So you can act before you hand over the diet, not after. No formulas redone by hand, no forgotten micronutrients: just a balanced ration, checked against a recognised reference.

Calculations are based on FEDIAF standards and the nutrient traffic light highlights deficiencies and excesses on essential nutrients. The tool supports your clinical judgment, it doesn't replace it: the final decision is always yours.
Is patient data safe?
Each practice sees only its own data thanks to per-practice isolation with Row Level Security. Access is protected by authentication, with automatic sign-out after 30 minutes of inactivity. Lab reports live in a private store, downloadable only through temporary expiring links and never public. Clinical records and diets keep their history, with no permanent deletions.
